TUSC Client:  Archipelago

Project Lead and Data Architect in the development of a web based surveillance and data mining / reporting tool. This tool was essential in maintaining the client’s compliance with SEC guidelines regarding the operation of their electronic stock exchange. Client desired the ability to provide additional value to their customers through the reporting tools bundled with the site. Used Oracle JDeveloper to build a JSP presentation layer driven by Struts and supported by BC4J data integration components. The project required the development of several stand-alone pieces utilizing bundled Java packages such as JavaMail and third-party tools such as Netcomponents and FTPClient supported by custom DAO classes that utilized JDBC.

Key Contributions:

Ø       Led the conceptualization and analysis effort to visualize and realize the application by working with the Business Champions and Stake Holders 

Ø       Data architect for the development of the data warehousing and risk management application for the first open, electronic exchange to trade all NYSE, AMEX, PCX and OTC listed securities (15,000 transactions per second)

Ø       Quickly gained an understanding of the business through meetings with end users and through reviewing industry publications and design specifications as required by the project.

Ø       Provided technical and analytical mentoring to the TUSC and Archipelago development team.

Project Manager for the architecture and Rapid Application Development of a Prescription Benefit Management Application.  Generated a time sensitive product (JSP/Portal) PBM application that adhered to HIPAA standards and integrated with a third party (MediSpan) database through java APIs.

TUSC Client:  M&M/Mars

Project/Account lead focusing on the functional and technical architectural considerations in the ongoing enhancement and support of the MasterFoods Inc. Labor Scheduling System. Developed enhancements, modifications, and applied bug fixes to the Web PL/SQL based Labor Scheduling System. The system supports approximately 9,000 associates throughout North America and integrates with a Kronos payroll application. As it supports such a large number of employees, all solutions need to be finely tuned for performance and tight quality control measures have been implemented.

Key Contributions:

Ø       Provided hands-on technical and managerial assistance for the resolution of bug fixes, system enhancements, and data resolution

Ø       Interfaced with the Kronos Time and Attendance application to create a seamless time reporting application for the employees of M&M/Mars

Ø       Wrote custom Web based applications using PL/SQL, HTML, and JavaScript.

Ø       Worked with TUSC resources and the Kronos technical team to develop a disconnected data integration process. The new process utilizes flat file generation and receipt to replace the database link.

Consulted the client on the intricacies of a global data model design and delivered options for improvement of a laboratory information management system (LIMS). Analyzed the business rules and suggested methods of conflict resolution by presenting an analysis of the existing data model and provided guidance on various model improvements. During this process, also reviewed the data architecture of a time and invoice management system.
